At the candidate forum hosted by Berkeley Organizing Congregations for Action (BOCA), Berkeley Black Ecumenical Ministers' Alliance (BBEMA) and South/West Berkeley Concerned Communities (SWBCC), the question that was posed to the candidates for City Council was:
"Rather than increasing the size of the police force, what
alternative approaches would you take to help address the recent
increase in violence?"
